The Frome Festival is over for another year. FDC Law were delighted to have again supported, through sponsorship, the much acclaimed Frome Festival which closed on Sunday night with an exciting programme from the very talented Frome Symphony Orchestra, directed by Mark Gateshill. The festival has been blessed this year with very favourable weather which has witnessed a great number of visitors to Frome enjoying all that the town has to offer. There have been offerings for everyone, young and old and too numerous to list, musical, artistic, tasty and tiring.

FDC's Senior Partner, James Hollis, was among those from FDC to attend events at the festival. He explained that highlights for him included a variety of musical performances at Cooper Hall and Cheese and Grain, comic political stand up from Jeremy Hardy at the Merlin Theatre, a chance to nose around other peoples’ gardens over the hidden gardens weekend including a spectacular opportunity to see four very different and each beautiful gardens along the course of Friggle Street and opportunities to look into the studios of numerous local artists whilst working at their craft.

Festival Director Martin Dimery said "“Attendances were tremendously good throughout the entire ten days” he added, “Our thanks go out to the large number of people and organisations involved, who come up with much of our programme. It is truly a great reflection on the community spirit of the town that we can work together to create such a wonderful celebration. We are grateful to Frome Town Council and our sponsors for their generous support"

The festival included 178 different events this year, of which 61 were free to attend

The festival is a fantastic celebration of the enormous amount of talent within our town which is a source of pride to us all. We are already looking forward to 2018!
