Leading Dorset and Somerset law firm, Humphries Kirk, is preparing for its Wills and Financial Advice drop-in surgery in Crewkerne on Thursday August 30.
Delivered by Humphries Kirk and Humphries Kirk Financial Advice Service (HKFAS), the free half an hour appointment will cover topics such as the importance of having a Will, the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) and discussion regarding a range of financial products and services.
The surgery will take place on the last Thursday of the month at the law firm’s office in Crewkerne and will be hosted by Laura Staples, partner at Humphries Kirk, Abigail Doggrell, private client solicitor at Humphries Kirk, Sue Nicholson, private client solicitor at Humphries Kirk and Matthew Isaacs, financial planner at HKFAS.
Laura Staples, partner at Humphries Kirk, commented: “Please do come along to our drop-in session to obtain free advice from specialists in Wills, LPAs and financial matters and to discuss the options available to you. We will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance.
“We hope to raise awareness of the importance of having an up to date Will. Many people assume that when they die, their assets will automatically be passed on to their spouse, partner or children. But this is not guaranteed. The law dictates who gets what and how much if there is no Will in place. Having a Will is the only way you can guarantee your wishes are respected after you have passed away.”
Humphries Kirk works closely with The Oratu Consultancy, independent funeral plan consultants based in Dorset, in order to assist clients with funeral plans. Those interested in finding out more about funeral plans with Oratu can receive further information at the drop-in surgery.
To book in for the surgery, members of the public should contact the Crewkerne office on 01460 279100 or email email@example.com.
Humphries Kirk has offices in Bournemouth, Parkstone, Poole, Swanage, Wareham, Dorchester, Crewkerne and has an international network of lawyers. For more information visit www.hklaw.eu
